If I'm thinking about the right thing....I'm pretty sure their rates sounded pretty bad

I didn’t use it for the cover but I did use Affirm for my suspension from Accutune. Like you, I had the money but since it was 0% interest for my purchase, as long as it’s paid within 6 months, I figured why not. Paid it off in 2 months, and had no effect on my credit score. I’d say it was a good experience.

Thank you! It is the mid height, and I love the rack. The RTT is on there full time because I live in an apartment complex and don’t have a place to store it, but without the RTT you are still able to open the Diamondback and you have a perfectly clear sight line through the rear window. I actually saw someone on here rigged something up with sliding load bars that allows them to open the Diamondback with the RTT installed. I don’t have pictures of how the legs are attached to the cleats, but I will try to remember to take some next time I run out to the truck.

The only downside is the distance between load bars is not adjustable, but this has not been an issue for me.

Looks nice. I am looking to get the same thing for my white long bed from a local Taco owner. Do you have any other pictures to get a better look at it. Thanks.

Just out if curiosity, for you guys that have Diamondback covers, have you ever had a topper/camper shell? If so, do you prefer one over the other? I have a topper on right now but I am contemplating switching to a Diamondback.

Because I have a small family, and a short bed, I find myself needing more space volume to store goods on our trips. Contemplating going the camper route. If just for 1-2 people, I think the DB is perfect.

I got my SE about 2 years ago and love it. I considered the retractable covers but didn't like how they took up so much space up front. The Diamondback is super strong (I weight over 200 lbs. and regularly stand on it when I wash the truck), super functional with its two flip up covers, light enough so you can remove both covers in 5 minutes or remove the entire cover in about 15 mins. I like the smooth surface version and also installed the Front Runner rails and bars.

I would look at buying one used. Considering their durability, used ones might have a few scratches or maybe a ding but still be in perfect working condition- and you'll get it at a discount. I have the HD myself and got it for about 1000 off.
Check the forums, vilmontmarket, offerup, etc.

Went from an uncovered bed w/ rack and RTT to the DB and I'm really enjoying it so far. Just need to install a pop n lock for the tailgate because having to unlock the tail by key each time can get a little annoying.

    That looks durable and secure.

The fact it doesn't take long to remove the entire unit makes it ideal for when I do need to use my 5ft bed--Yeah, I make use of a 5ft bed! lol

I have a camper shell on my other truck (short-bed Silverado). My Silverado is my tow rig so it generally has to carry more gear then my Taco and I can carry more stuff under the shell in the Silverado, however I don’t think the shell on my Silverado is as secure as the DB on my Taco since if someone wanted to they could smash one of the windows on my shell to gain access. The same can’t be said for a DB of course. Plus the DB keeps things out of sight, which is most of the battle when it comes to preventing theft.

That’s like the things they put in uhauls. So you drilled those on your cover?

Every gun guy should have one. I’m debating on getting cleats also. You can get them preinstalled though which I may do then just remove them and plug them like someone suggested

I’m also thinking of the thorax one
    Looks good.
maybe, but I’d just pay it off before it’s due.

Is it hard to get approved though? Usually you have to have low utilization and a high 730ish. I’m also thinking of doing that.

    B-I-N-G-O!!!

Nothing against Campers...I suppose you could re-enforce window security on a Camper by putting bars over the glass...just a thought.

I did it through affirm just to keep some money in the bank. It was quick and easy. If your credit is decent you shouldnt have an issue

Not sure what factors they consider, but it doesn’t seem hard to get approved. I know someone who used it for an iKamper and they got approved for the same 0% despite their credit score being in the mid 600s.

Yeah, I definitely like the idea of added security. I’m also thinking the Diamondback would be easier/faster to remove if you needed to do so. Obviously you’re sacrificing some storage but I don’t think that would be a problem for me.

    Yep
Yep. Used these stainless washers on the underside to keep it watertight. Pretty easy. You just need to locate them correctly to avoid any stiffeners.
