Diamondback prototypes

Attended the Great American Outdoorshow in which Diamondback had two new prototype covers that were not available yet but first time being visible to public eye. The first one was for a 5th wheel hitch (doesn’t really fit this forum) but the 2nd one was a one piece unit kinda of like the undercover/leers. Instead of opening from the tailgate it opened up from the drivers side bed rail and the hinge was on the passenger side bed rail. Salesman stated that this would allow one to open the cover if something was on the top of the cover like a RTT for instance. Stated they were still working on it but should be available by the end of the year or early next year.

 

Was the other prototype for a 5th wheel hitch on display? Do you have a picture?

 

I like that design for the Roof top tent access. I just got a DB and going to get billie bars, not looking forward to crawling into the back to grab stuff

 

That would solve a lot of issue I have with their other cover. not sure I can wait that long.
