I’m eyeballing the Diamondback tonneau. Two questions I can’t find an answer to. Any feedback on your experience with one of these covers appreciated.

    1. Once installed how quickly can you remove it?

    2. Can you remove just one section and safely drive like that?

There not that bad to take off. I’ve never ran mine down the road with a section out, but I’d send it no problem.

From the install videos I’ve watched it looks like once they are installed just 4 clamps to remove and it comes off. Thanks for the reply.

I have one. Once installed, its 5 min to take the front and rear tail panels off, maybe another 10 min with a ratchet to unclamp the center piece. Fwiw, i plan to change out for a canopy soon for more interior space.

I have the 270 on my tundra. The side entry front is great. Removal is easy of the back panel. I have flipped it over/forward and tied the cleats together and it was fine. Nice if you are away from home and you need the space. With the tailgate down and the lid flipped you can haul quite a bit.

I have the HD on my truck and once installed it takes maybe 10 minutes max to get off. A lot of the install is making sure it’s square on the bed and installing the weather stripping under that front bed rail. As for driving with one side off you can do that no problem. I do it pretty often depending on what I am hauling. I’ve had my for almost 3 years now and it’s been super solid since install.
