Lot of guys run those emblems like that but they don't all have the end result you did.

Not sure if it's a combo of the grill design and the color match, or something else - but it really looks perfect. Doesn't look like you bought an emblem off eBay and slapped it on.

I hate to sound like I'm applauding, but I think you got a much cleaner finished product than most.

Well I certainly took my time, as tinky winky will attest. OEM badge, measure twice, then several more times. High quality paint. A lot of slow, careful xacto time. Everything about it is one shot. I could have just used 3m tape, but decided against that. The one process error I made wask masking and cutting before setting the screws in epoxy. This meant the tape was handled excessively for a few days, which is not ideal for good edge adhesion. Only had a couple trouble spots.

All I have to contribute is... Trading in my 2012 Jetta for my Tacoma was my best decision of 2015. My worst decision of 2014 was trading in my Escape for the Jetta.

I thought about keeping the Escape when I got the Jetta but as a single person, I didn't feel it necessary to have two vehicles.

When I was 19, I had a 2002 GTI and a 1993 Jeep Wrangler and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It took about 9 months for me to realize that I couldn't afford to have both so I had to sell the Jeep. Come to think of it, that may have been my first adult decision.
