Went to a specialty local sub shop for lunch. The music coming from the grill/prep area was funky. I recognized the unique horn signature and I thought I knew the bass style.

“Hey man, is that…Lettuce?”

The cashier broke into a huge grin. “Fuck yeah it is” and threw a bag of chips at me.

Funk is life.

As long as you keep it in a jar. Dark place helps. It usually keeps for a bit before going bad.

 

I always keep my faves out of direct sunlight.

 

Make sure you put the lotion on it.

 

What is that smell?

 

Fermented potatoes, with a sour yak's milk curdling, infused with a sweet preservative of glycol antifreeeze, tipped by rotten radish leaves. Also just attempted the description of a rotting human corpse smell. That sweet sickly smell is unique among dead things.

 

Sigh.

Last year, without lift, headed down first section of Rubicon from Barker Pass area to Homewood. Nicked the exhaust crossover, still need that mod.
