I wish. At least that one wouldn't rust in a year.

I'm really not sure if I will ever get a full replacement steel or aluminum Front bumper. But I will definitely have a Brute Force standard rear bumper at some point.

Those are really nice. I see the rear bumper as a bigger priority because of eh crappy departure angle (especially on the DCLB with a hitch), and because chrome.

I'm looking at options that include the hitch receiver up high behind the plate, but also keep the electrical and safety hooks easily accessible. The other trick is finding one that has enough clearance behind the hitch to accommodate a larger spare, because that is going to stay underneath..

Agreed, rear bumper has got to have the behind the plate receiver. I don't plan on going above a 285 tire, so I'm pretty sure that would fit in the factory spare position. Your trucks lookin good brother!!!

    1. Be careful. The 265/75 16 Cooper ST Maxx is a solid 32 inches, and clearance is tight between the back of the rear diff and between the hitch. In fact, a wee bit too close to the rear diff for comfort during articulation, which means I may need to adjust my BFH tire carrier mod a bit to the rear...which means less clearance to the backside of the hitch.
    2. Thanks, I appreciate it. Feels like I haven't done shit yet, but I've done a lot of little stuff to make it better for every day as I have found time. I really want to dive in on this rear suspension issue so I can resolve it and buy my shit and get it on.

And it looks like the Carhartt seat cover arrived to day. Doesn't sound terribly exciting in the grand scale, I know, but we are starting to get back to hiking in the Sierra, which means long trips with the baby, feedings, fusses, messes, and trail grunge and sweat from all parties. So it is just in time for "little stuff to make it better for every day."

Right on. Ive got so many things on the truck to do list, but as we all know...you can only do what you can do. Sweet!!! Subd for pics of seat covers installed and comments on that process. I like the fact that the Carhartt will probably last forever lol

    Me too.

These days, I'm surprised when anything lasts, or even works well. So, rear headrest in the Tacoma. Not something you think about too much. (Or never had to over the last few decades of car engineering and design.) Unless you have a kid and baby seats and mirrors and shit. Or want to use your rear seats folded down. Why are they so fucking hard to adjust and remove? It feels like the receiving tubes, or whatever the fuck, inside the seat back either aren't attached to any structure, or simply don't exist. The whole setup is a weird, sticky, flimsy POS that ends in a wrestling match and f-bombs. How fucking hard is it to make headrests that work in an easy and predictable manner? Nice place to cut costs, Toyota. You fucks.

HAHA!!! Funny because i just leave mine folded down and never really have messed with them at all. Only thing i dont like is when people get in the back seat and flip them up and dont remember thats not how they were when they got in. Also i dont like when people dont return the backseat seatbelt into the little clip on the side to keep it from rattling around...I have some stupid OCD pet peves lol
