Okay, how do I get a tiny loose piece of hay out of my headlight? I mean seriously, what a stupid problem. We were so careful doing it. Can't even fathom. I suppose I could stick the compressed air can in there through the headlight bulb hole and blast it into a corner or something but I'd rather get it out.

could you pull the whole assembly off and try and shake it and get the peice to fall out through the hole where the bulb goes?

Take a picture of it for me so I can see it to help out.

I taken straws with 3m heavy duty tape stuck to the end of it.

You then just stick it in and get any hair, lint, debris, silicon out. It happens a lot and no matter how careful you are about it.

It is open and when you close it, there is a chance something gets in.

Get the hay on the lense in front of the bulb, then just stick a shop vac hose to the bulb opening...I'd think it can pull it out if its not a real big piece.

Wad up a gum wrapper, drop it in the bottom of a pop bottle, and I want to see you 'suck' it out with a vaccuum cleaner. You can't tip it upside down. It won't work.

    Couldn't help but say something....

I like the tape on a straw method, either that or skinny long shaft tweezers if you can reach it that way...obviously both through the bulb port

yeah, it's already back on the truck. i think im going to try plugging in a shop vac into the bed and sucking with that at the same time blasting with a can of air. dunno. i dont know how i would get to it with the pupil part that sits over the headlight bulb. the piece is way over in front of the turn signal.

if i have to take it off, so be it.

i looked at it again in the daylight. couldn't even make it move with the can of air. static cling has a hold of it. between that in the driver side and the paint scuff marks in the passenger side from reassembling the headlight, im really bummed. it almost looks total awesome

I was going to recommend rigging a flexible straw to a shop vac with duct tape but unfortunately if that piece of hay is stuck on the paint, any success vacuuming it out might leave an unpainted mark left by the hay.

double-sided sticky tape on the end of coat hanger wire bent to reach the piece of hay.
