I got in on the group buy last month for the Ultragauge. I have the EM Plus V1.2. I am reading that I need the MX V1.3 for transmission temperature. Is this right? My Ultragauge is less than a month old. My 23 year old son has been helping me try to get the transmission temp to work. He's a Google fanatic & says I need to send it back to them & pay for a update. I don't think I should have to pay for any upgrade on something just purchased. I found a thread about Ultragauge transmission temp & read through a lot of the pages & seen a post where it said you need V1.3. Am I the only 1 that got a older version software last month?

You ordered the wrong gauge...if you want trans temp you needed the MX not the Plus.....I'd call them up and explain the situation....they'll probably work with you on getting you the right unit.

I paid more for the MX because it was clearly posted that it was the only unit that can read tranny temps. The model you bought isn't capable. You paid less for a different unit, not an older unit. They can upgrade it for you, but it's not free as that wouldn't be fair to those of us who bought the correct unit and paid more.

Not 100% sure, but I thought I read that tranny temp only works in automatic transmissions. Just FYI in case you had a manual.

My truck is a automatic. Thanks for the information. My mistake for not paying attention to what I was reading. I will be paying for the upgrade
