Just had a dream that seemed way to real with all the gun hype.

The government went door to door to collect guns from every citizen. Then China was pissed we can't pay them back the trillions of dollars we owe them and invaded us. Our military was overwhelmed and citizens no longer had guns. We were all fucked. The end.

Although I don't think this would ever happen it was quite scary

x2 i know multiple military guys (and family and friends not military) that would join a rebellion against the gov. if they tried something like that.
and the gov. without the military or cops is just a bunch of opinionated liars (for the most part)that can't do anything

Yeah, it was a buy back, of sorts. Here's some light reading on the subject. The third or fourth paragraph, concerning searches and seizures with no warrants.

x2. not worth fighting over it. they also have different laws than we do. and i don’t really ever see them going door to door and taking everyones guns.

Thats a great article - and contains excellent points.

The sheep would turn in their weapons, and the wolves would keep theirs. The sheepdogs would be forced to make a decision to illegally posess.

In my nightmare...sorry dream, the taking of guns and continued degradation of the rest of our rights provided for by our Constitution and Bill of Rights happened slowly over a period of time and was accomplished under the guise of "helping" the citizenry.

I'm in the army and the day they tell me my orders are to go door to door and take guns. Well lets say that will be my last day in the armed forces. I'll go AWOL and head back home with all my guns and get ready for the fight that's coming. I know a lot of military guys saying the same thing. The gov will never take our guns they simply do not have the resources to do so.

Totally agree. In my opinion a large percentage of the military would give a big FU to the government and walk away. Patriot central all over again.
