I'd forget about the comparison. Just make an appointment at another dealership and see what happens. All of this matters on paper or in Toyotas database you hear a knocking noise. Did your initial visit paperwork state something like "Customer stated he hears a knocking noise" or similar?

I never said I do not need to make an appointment. Wow! And Toyota working on getting me one. I said I do not want to play dealership roulette.

For what it’s worth, I listened to the videos several times and it doesn’t sound like a knock, it sounds like a pulley or wheel that is out of whack. It’s almost a slapping noise.

If yours didn’t make the noise when you bought it and now it does, and the other truck on the lot doesn’t but will in 1600 miles, is that normal? I’m a data analyst by day and mechanic by night. Been a mechanic for 23 years. You are comparing two different datasets. If you’ve compared your truck to another truck that has been driven for a bit, then you have an issue and need to make an appointment.

No, they refused to give me anything. Toyota has nothing in the system about my visit.

I posted a video of the accessory belt system to. It is in the first post, also posted some under the truck videos, one without the sound and one with.

Well I'd make an appointment, and when you call or do it online just say "I hear a knocking noise". Nothing will get fixed if you don't bring it to them. Even if it's the same dealer service place.

... Except that you aren't even playing dealership solitaire. There are zero open work tickets on your truck. Instead of getting it on the wait-list you took it and went home. You made one phone call. And then you did nothing.

The truck isn't going to fix itself dude. Nobody is wringing their hands over your one phone call to Toyota care.

A normal person would be calling around and asking about appointment times elsewhere. But that's your choice. You could get off your duff and put in the legwork towards getting your investment in tiptop shape, or you could continue sitting on your couch with a plate full of pizza rolls and insisting that the law will make it right.

If you're somewhat mechanically inclined get one of these...

I need to hear one of two things:
    1) That you've taken it to another dealer, with appointment and a good attitude, and have them inspect it

    Or

    2) A ten minute long video of you banging it of the rev limiter so we can all get a good idea what the engine sounds like to solve the issue.

Posting videos here was a mistake. Isn't worth the aggravation when only a Toyota service center can properly diagnose warrantied vehicles for a claim. or a toyota authorized service center.

Yes. Keyword is Forced. Pretty simple. Still do not see your claim of me saying I do not need to make an appointment. Did you ever think I may have wanted to weigh other options at that point and time after being lied to by the service advisor manager and being told to go trade it in or sell it?

I still think you work for dealership :)

Well he lied to you, it sucks and not right but if you don't want to go to another service center and want to stick with the dealer who lied to you I think that's asking for poor service and improper diagnosis of your noise. At this point you can go to another dealer or live with it.

I will not let it rev at the limit for 10 minutes. That would void my warranty.

Toyota is working on it. I prefer they just make an appointment with whatever dealer they choose in my area.

Good, that gets the ball rolling. I'd keep on them. Daily calls to them.

Pretty sure Toyota will send me to another dealership. They just may be able to get me an appointment 1 - 2 weeks out vs months.

Forced, verb, to make do something. You need to make an appointment. Yes, they forced you to make an appointment. You are waiting on Toyota to give you your appointment time…therefore yes, you were forced.
