Still a broken truck that did not get fixed.

Once again and it stands true; You do realize some of what you wrote in the last couple post just reinforces why I am trying to get my truck look at as soon is as possible? You were patience and it did not pay off.

 

I’m happy. You’re not. I didn’t call Toyota. We aren’t alike bud. I got in line and had my issue looked at. Make your appointment. Let them look. Let the system work. Hell, for all you know you don’t even have a problem. Like I asked many times, what will you do when they tell you it’s normal and close the ticket? You will never be happy and you’ll have a “broken” truck. I have a broken truck and I’m happy as a tick because nothing I bought this truck for is broken. I don’t want BSM but can’t buy a limited without it so I had no choice but I weighed the options and accepted that cost from the start. You have a warranty, let it do its job And enjoy your truck. Smile and be happy. Enjoy your vodka and I’ll enjoy your fruitcake because you have no case.

 

You be surprise how many people become certified techs and just work a few years and quit. The bottom end pay is crap. Their are a lot of stories, not saying they are all true. It is not hard to become certified.

 

Yes, for me too. I understand how he got himself frustrated and walked off the plank.

I did not demand, I asked. I did not even go to the bay to they said the tech would come hear it. I left the truck running in a parking spot. Big difference. It takes seconds to get the keys in most dealerships for a vehicle. They are all stored in one area. Minor issue, so you know what is wrong with my truck? What if it turns out be an internal engine issue, is that minor? I was nice even after the service adviser manager lied to me about not having any 2.7s on the lot. He could have just said he did not want let me hear one of them run. Pretty simple.

Hearing another 2.7 truck best the solution at that point. It was simple, the tech did even have be there.

The dealership isn't the one doing shady stuff, it's you. At least get your story straight before you go around complaining.

 

I have not pushed my truck hard, but did forgot lots of new cars have low rev limiters. What is, like 3.5 RPMs?

 

I kind of skipped a ton of pages, so I’m probably missing something but why not go to a different dealer?

The one I bought my truck from said I messed with the throttle body so it was “my fault”. Went to another and they told me the actual issue (Fuel Pump). Some dealers just don’t care.

 

Their is a reason the bottom pay is crap. Would you pay someone top end pay right out of school that would take more time to do the job than book rate states on every job? No you have to prove yourself and show you have skill and knowledge. The guy in that video pissed an moaned that others got the better jobs and he got shit. He got shit jobs because he took way too long to do the jobs he was given burning time and money.

 

I don't think the OP can get an appointment now. Dealer is ignoring him. He has a case handler at corporate but no appointment to get the truck looked at.

 

Lol. Go read my full post. They even have me on camera. Do you not even understand what I wrote. I was being courteous and did not want to hold up the the drop off bay to I knew a tech would come hear it. Then i pull the vehicle in.

 

It is flat rate. if they take 4h or 8h they get paid the same, at least in my area.

 

Maybe their not saying # hrs or job rate changes but $ per hour? Same outcome… agree no one should get avg pay right outta school. Everyone’s gotta prove themselves and handle their shit.

Yes, this one does not care, could not even let my check one of the 2.7 Tacomas on there lot, even after I purchased my truck from them. And the big lie of not have 2.7s on the lot, they were less than 10 - 30 foot away. I pointed to them. one has been there since I purchase my truck.

 

What dealer is this?

 

Sorry to hear your having troubles... hope you get it resolved soon.

 

The techs in my area are flat rate. Big jobs like replacing an engine can be time consuming. A lot of small easy jobs pay more once the additional recommendations get added on. A lot people go in for oil change and end up getting scammed or overcharged or both at same time for all the addition work the dealership recommends. Nothing like paying $100 to have someone put an air filter in an economy vehicle. It takes seconds in most vehicles.
