    Just a tid bit of information: We originated the 3 Leaf Progressive AAL and over the years have had them produced by various Spring Manufacturers (Alcan, Benz, Betts, Etc.). They are a very high demand product that our manufacturers have not always been able to produce in a timely manner, or up to our quality standard. Regardless of the manufacturer, they are built to the same design and spec. Other than being already attached to your truck when you receive them..... We would say that they do come pre-assembled. We at Wheeler's do strive to bring the best customer service that we can. We are human of course and may make mistakes from time to time, but I assure you, we want everything to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Our business is driven by word of mouth, and customer support.

    Thank you,

    Hey Dan,

    This is a little off topic but this entire thread has gone off topic lol. Do you by any chance know if there is any conflict with using your 3 leaf progressive AAL in combination with Firestone RideRite air bags?

    I don't know for sure, but there really shouldn't be any issues. The Firestone Kit should still bolt up just the same. The only thing to be aware of is that if you are going to be off-roading the truck and flexing out the suspension, you could potentially rip the bag apart.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I plan to have only the top connected and a cradle below to avoid that exact problem, a lot of members have done that. Someone just recently said they would not work with the 3AAL which was in contradiction to what I have heard before, thought I would check in with you :thumbsup:

    @YotaDan

    My concern here would be that the AAL might make the leaf pack too tall for the side support of the bottom bracket to contact the axle and properly do its job. There's not much room left above the stock springs. I've debated 3 leaf progressive vs. single leaf for this reason. Of course saying fuck it and just going Emu is an option too.

    That is a possibility. Unfortunately I don't know the answer on that one.

    I wonder if removing the overload would eliminate that possible problem. I wanted to do the progressive AAL but didn't need the full height it would provide so would remove the overload leaf. But I've heard that reduces to tow capacity which is why I'm looking at the air bags in combination.

    From what I have read the progressive AALs give a much smoother ride than a single AAL will.

    Someone on here fabbed an air bag bottom bracket to work with a U bolt flip kit. That's what I'd like to buy, if someone sold them... @KB Voodoo - I smell incentive!!??!! It was just a flat plate thick enough to not need a lower support contacting the axle. Original maker posted that he didn't intend to sell them, I think.

    Hey Dan... Have any info on what this AAL does to the tow ratings? Ratings with and without factory overload would be awesome.

    They don't really change any of the ratings. You still are not supposed to exceed the GVWR of the vehicle.

    They do of course change the characteristics of the spring pack, but the rating stays the same.
