I came in here to say this.

OP, your rate really isn’t that bad at all. Sure, some may have gotten a lower one, but rates are currently garbage unless you’re over 800

I got the exact same Truck, in MGM (Tech package, Double cab short bet, TRD OR, etc etc) for $39,000... in November of 2016. I'd say you over paid a bit.

You are not dumb and you didn't get ripped off. I can see why you like it, you got bells, you got whistles, hell, you got the whole brass band. Maybe you could have paid some less but probably not much; it all depends on your market. Two point eight over 72 months on a machine that depreciates, not bad at all. Never listen to anyone tell you what they paid on an internet forum, ask them for a photocopy of the deal. Now that you are right side up is not the time to chuck it and start over. Enjoy watching the Tacoma hold its value as its debt goes down.

That was March 2015, however the bank I used still has the same deal. With a good credit score, they offer 1.99%. Toyota "beat" it with 1.90...then promptly sold the loan to that same bank lol

As far as interest rate, that’s as good as I’ve seen for 72 months. 2.9% is what I got for same term, my MSRP on the Limited was $40k, got it for $36k, put $15k down, 2.9% over 72 months cake out to $385/mo. The limited is pretty much fully loaded, but mine was a 4x2 not 4x4 so I’d say you did ok. I’m sure there is wiggle room for $1k - $2k less but if you refi the rate to 1.9 or less with a credit union, then you’ll make up the difference. 72 months though will never get you a rate that low however. You have to venture into 60 months or less to see better rates. Search the thread “how much did you pay for you Tacoma” then search within that thread for keywords like off-road and so on and see what others got. I think you’re ok. Did you haggle or negotiate at all? Did you price shop it across multiple dealers? If you didn’t then that would’ve been a mistake.
