Hey man, saw you coming in off the 87 at about 1pm today.

Also, saw a dark colored 2nd gen, coil overs, projectors, mesh grill turning onto Hartford off Warner at about 8.

Yes, sir. You sure did. I usually only go at 7-8ish AM on weekdays, but I had to travel for biz on Friday so I was using Saturday as a make-up day. You'll usually find me in the back row on the mother-fucking god-forsaken born-from-satan stairmasters and then out doing a circuit.

I shopped a few gyms, and have been members at some of the "other" chains, and I really like the way that Mountainside manages their business. They run a really clean and professional gym, with zero pressure from staff to partake in their services with additional fees. They fix their equipment right away, they're always going around wiping down machines with disinfectant, and I've never seen better locker room facilities.

I just like to have a place to go in the AM to get my cardio and weights done in a comfortable environment. At that time of day, I'm always able to use all of the machines that I want at basically any time I want. Their selection of machines, free weights, and other equipment allows me to target every muscle group about a dozen different ways. They're never more than half full, even though the parking lot is overflowing. The other half of the cars in the lot are for people in the classrooms doing spin class, yoga, etc.

It's the ONLY gym I've ever been happy about going to every day.

They are a bit pricey. I paid for the whole year for me and my wife, so we saved a tiny bit but not much. I think that saved the "setup fee" of $90, and saved a few bucks per month. Still it works out to about $37 a month. However, that pricing includes a ton of classes each day at no additional cost, which my wife loves. She does spin, yoga, and some other strength and conditioning classes that are all an hour long. The condition of the facilities is worth the price, plus I think the higher price helps filter out some riff raff that is too cheap to pay it. I've been in $20/month gyms and the crowd is totally different than it is at Mountainside.
