I got rear-ended earlier this week near Bell and 19th ave- the estimator should be out today to survey the damage- hoping for enough to replace my bumper! (then hopefully everyone will see it after the fact!)

Just a bunch of old crap
Hopefully you make out like I did! $1760 in damage but they quoted me and cut me a check for $4300. I got my 5100's, OME 885's, LR UCAs, front/rear All-Pro bumpers (perfect timing for the group buy), Avid sliders, and my winch (slightly out of pocket for the winch). Plus I got the rear end fixed back to new :)

Holy hell! I went and got the paperwork out of my truck and it looks like a low ball at $959; I know stock bumpers have to be more then that?!

I also noticed he put as remarks- " Front window tint exceeds legal limits for dark shade allowable by law" someone going to come out with a ruler now and smack my knuckles or what?

a new bumper, non painted, is like 200-300... I think, correct me if I'm wrong guys. I got quoted for a new non rear painted one for around 300, then paint was gonna be another 120.

I guess I meant, a new stock bumper painted with labor for all would be more?

they didnt even include the hitch which is also damaged. i would say that everything is probably close to 900ish in parts. i just cant believe your insurance is lowballin you like that. 260 for labor? F that shops are way more expensive than that

Was driving behind a silver double cab 4x4 with black rims and a light bar up front. Had a State of Art Tattoo sticker on the back window. On the 10 headed west getting off on Warner.

Well, insurance always quotes low. When you actually take it to a shop to get fixed, it will cost more but it won't come out of your pocket. The body shop submits an addendum to the quote, almost always gets it approved, and they fix whatever it takes to get your vehicle back to the previous condition.

In my case, I didn't care that my bed barely touched the back of my cab, because besides 2 dings in the paint you couldn't even tell. The bed was perfectly straight, frame was checked and straight, and I saved a ton of $$ for the labor that would have cost. That's what I put into my new bumpers and sliders.
