So real talk, how much of the offroading to be had out here is actually "4wd necessary?"

I've got a 2016 2WD SR that's kitted out with a TRD OR take-off suspension and it tackled some reasonably gnarly parts of Sycamore with no fuss whatsoever. That said, I know Sycamore creek is easy-mode for a lot of it.

Also where are the non-rutted/non-washboard dirt roads at? I wanna kick up some dust! :cookiemonster:

The answer is plenty. But the answer I think you're really looking for is that there's also plenty of 2wd friendly offroading to be had in AZ. Pretty much as much as your heart could desire.

Think I saw @TRON_ on Grant, near where it turns to Kolb. There was a silver 2nd gen with an orange emblem and orange rock rings on his wheels not too far behind him.

Holy crap! I went and looked, wow! It just fell b/c of wind? Flood causing roots to be unstable or something?

Shiiiiiit. Glad that you were safe though!

I'm gonna have to see, I have a friend potentially coming up to get my bestop, possibly spending quality time with my lady friend teaching her how to clean up / detail under hood stuff and wrenching on my truck... What time would these festivities take place?

No wind, no rain. It was wet rotted badly in the middle. Just fell and happened to be there when it did.

Sounded like gun shots 10ft from my tent that got closer together until it was all one big sound. It was loud enough that I seriously thought it was some kind of rock slide or something where the canyon walls were collapsing
