61k for a midsize truck, with 4-cylinder turbo charged engine? stopped by dealer and got quick dose of reality, are people really willing to pay that much for this? is this inflation or toyota really plans to lose base of their support fans? I mean with apr rates currently, got to be tough sell, or am I off here...

think i am keeping mine till it dies or burns to ground.

just curious what prices you guys get from your dealers and bought your 2024 trucks?

61k good god ….ill just stay in my truck for that price . The prices on these trucks are outrageous. Personally I think we all should not buy the 4th gen let them sit on the lots teach these dealerships that we won’t put up with price gouging.

I think it must be Canadian as of right now an offroad upgrade is 61k Canadian then the hybrids will be mid to upper 60's and the Pro And Trailhunter will be mid to high 70's I would say FML I shouldn't have just traded in my 18 Pro

A fully maxed out OR comes to $55k with premium package + options. So it had some port or dealer add ons as well. You can get the the SDM as a stand alone package for $45.6k. This is all in the USA of course, Canada would be different.

Wait til the next recession. Prices of new will fall and many loan defaults will be available cheap.

Prices for everything are insane. New trucks are almost unaffordable for the average Joe. I’ve been wanting a new one for a while but have been holding off. Starting a new job at GM next week so I’m just gonna bite the bullet and pull the trigger on a new Sierra. Can’t beat the 11k off employee discount plus another 5k from incentives. If it turns out to be a piece of crap I’ll just get rid of it before the warranty is up and get another lol

I'm not even looking at the 2024s...but I was curious.

EDIT: This price for A 2024 SR5 was closer to 2021 TRD PROs; I wanted to stay under $40K threshold and got my TRD Sport AT/DCSB for $38,803.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
You’ll more than make up for the price with smiles per gallon.

That's what everyone's been saying since 2021...and still no recession. Keep waiting.

On the other hand, midsize sedans can be had for quite reasonable prices. That's because every soccer mom and dad wants a pickup truck.

As for who is willing to pay 60k for a Tacoma: I don't know who is willing, I just know that I'm not. Thank goodness that there are more brands than one.

Yeah I'm totally fine with paying 65k for an auto, but it's gonna be an IS500 with a sweet sounding V8. It is hard for me to grasp how a top-end Tacoma and top-end IS sedan are similarly priced.

But you have that sweet whine of the electric motor.
