Did my dealer reflash the stock ecm?

Went to do my 5k service and the dealer wasn’t busy at all. Figured I’d try to get them to flash the TSB. They hand the keys back to me and said they flashed the ECM but this is the line on the paper

 

Dude, if they flashed it, you’d know. The truck will drive differently. Especially if it’s a MT

 

It felt smooth. I only drove like 5 miles in stop and go traffic back home.

I had the same update and I also. Mentioned to another member. It feels like to me they made it a permanent ect. I drove with the ect on and I didn't feel any different to me. But in all the truck drives like it should.. I get no hunting gears When I give it gs it goes no lag.

 

Is there an ecu flash update for 2018 mt?

 

My 20 mile driver earlier today with hills and going 70mph felt better. Good throttle response and it wasn’t bipolar.


I know I saw them physically put TSB 62-18 on the service paper for some people in the big thread which is why I asked this question since my dealer didn’t put it on there and also didn’t add the sticker under the hood.

Your receipt says they reprogrammed the ECM so I would say yes they flashed it.

 

That's what they say they did. And a dealership would never lie...

Did you have it flashed non stock? If so you can just download the new ROM and see if it matches stock. If you didn't have it custom flashed, as people say go and drive it, without ECT, and see if it feels different. You'd particularly notice under load/heavy throttle above 50, based on what most folks with the TSB replacement see.

Unrelated but you turned off the seat belt sensor? Do you often carry a heavy (non-person) weight in the seat or something?

 

Yeah I just drove more and tried ECT and it doesn’t feel like it’s doing anything anymore. Not really sure how to compare. Never did a custom flash.


And the seatbelt is for traveling. I have suit cases or gun bags with ammo in the front seat and floorboard while the dogs are in the back. Or when I’m going 5mph at the gun club driving between berms.
