that is not really a high price quote from a shop. I got a quote of $800 before. Ended up doing it with a friend and saving big $$$

 

And thus the reason why I no longer work on cars for a living...

Even at that rate the shop nor mechanic are coming out ahead and 70% of the folks will still be unhappy with the price paid for work recieved.

Do it 15 - 20 yrs flinging wrenches to beat flat rate and sacrafice your body. You will grow disabled (Knees / back sholder / wrist) before wealthy.

Maybe you could pull it off in an hr but if it took 10hrs you can't charge the customer that. Basically I learned their are much easier happier ways to earn a living.
