Am I the only one who thinks it might be time to stop beating up on the OP? I'm sure he feels bad enough right now and has learned an important lesson.

Name the shop and blast them on Yelp. Unless you expressly agreed to gifting them your old wheels, then that’s straight up theft!
Or did you abandon them for months? In that case, yeah that’s on you though if it was my shop I would have had the decency to at least ask once if you’re gonna come pick it up

Can the shop blast the customer on yelp for abandoning his wheels there?

Life is tough.... even tougher when you do stupid things like leaving property at a shop and then not going to get it ASAP.

Just an example from when i took my wheels to get changed out. Unless you had no real intention of taking the rims and tires home from the shop (or didnt know their value) this is on you.

I didn’t realize that the first post basically admitted that he abandoned them. Shame on me. But yeah, that would be funny :anonymous:

maybe he thought a small shop with high rent to pay is a free storage space

the tires are probably dry rotted uneven wear small street tires on stock wheels worth a couple bucks in scrap metal, probably gone if not thrown away

Do you guys ever buy items at the store and just leave them there at the cash register, then come back two weeks later looking for them?

This thread.. yeah unfortunately this is on OP. The shop probably posted them on Facebook marketplace and got rid of them in a day as they were taking up space in the shop

“Blast the shop on yelp” :rofl:For what? Not being your personal storage unit? Lots of shops are small, they can’t just hold on to everyone’s shit for them in hopes they may come back later. If they do ten wheel swaps a day and everyone just leaves their old half dead shit there to pick up willy nilly when they feel like that’s gonna take up a lot of real estate. The dude has a truck bed he should have grabbed them that day. Or if somehow in the excitement of getting new wheels he forgot, he should have called and said “hey I forgot my wheels, I’ll be by tomorrow to grab them”

I hope one of the tire techs cousins or brother in law got a decent set of used wheels for cheap.

    P.S Yelper’s are the worst!
