Ok as of June 2015 The TRD Supercharger Program was Discontinued.

Well here at Low Range we may have found the Solution.

This Thread is just a Teaser of whats to come. Yes Low Range Will be a retailer in Toyota Engine Specific Superchargers

    What We Know
    • We do not have Price's yet
    • We do not have a Time Frame when available
    • Lets just say that they are made by the same people that made TRD's Superchargers
    • They will still have a Eaton Rotating Assembly
    • They will be installed in the same way and will be fully bolt in as the TRD Superchargers
    • They won't have TRD on them anymore
    Engine Applications

    3.4L 5VZ-FE Superchargers

3.5L 2GR-FE Superchargers - Yet to Find out if they are available.

4.0L 1GR-FE Superchargers - Yet to Find out if they are available.

    5.7L 3UR-FE Superchargers

How would you go about getting reflashed? Would the dealer still do it or would there be software.

Magnussen should be able to sell these for less than the dealer seeing as they made the TRD for Toyota who of course added their markup.

Not sure if Toyota would re flash or at a reasonable fee.

I asked this question in the other thread but it looks like the 3.4L supercharger is the same price as the TRD unit.

o_O Sorry was trying to do my best to act like a crazy stoked teenager... I apologize for the "yell texting".

I will say I'm honestly curious to see when these, likely Magnuson SC's, come out how they'll be priced compared to the crap storm:crapstorm: Toyota created by discontinuing theirs.

I'd be onboard if it was cheaper than the TRD unit. I'd expect that it would be considering the TRD unit was OEM backed by Toyota, retained the factory warranty, and had typical dealer markup. If it's reasonable I'd probably be one of the first to pick one up.

I think that's easier said than done. Since the exhaust manifold on the new 3.5L is built into the head (aka: not replaceable) you'll have to do a remote mount turbo system. Meaning, mount the turbo further back in the exhaust line like some of the muscle car guys used to do. Not only that, but the whole Atkinson/Parkinson cycle engine may not lend itself to boost. Will be interested to see what they come up with though.

Any more info from the OP on this development? @Low Range Off-Road

I'll follow this one. I might actually be able to afford a supercharger when I pay off the truck.
