But then I would have to complain about things. My truck is perfect in every way, so I get to spend all that free time contributing to BS threads.

And us newbies are privileged enough to have R- 1234yf refrigerant. I feel both privileged and fucked at the same time. Rare.

I feel special. I know I paid enough to have that feeling. But now I feel lonely and my ass seems to have grown in diameter.

I get it. It's greased well enough that some grandma that owns a 3g for 8 years never notices a problem. But on the flip side TW likes to push shit to the extreme and eek every preventative maintenance and performance gain they can. So you're both right. Just different opinions. It's all good.

I love this place! Disneyland for 3rd gens. And it comes with a free lobotomy!

Full hearted agree with you Stocklocker. The grease in them from factory is more than adequate to lubricate the joints. If it wasn't, they fail almost instantly! Ask me how I know! No don't, that would be another thread.

Not trying to labour the point, but I think the maintenance interval for these joints is quite often. Can’t remember if it’s annual, or every couple years. Not that your dealer is likely to actually do it, but you would be pumping and purging those joints soon enough, if you follow the manual.

Coming from cranes, greasing is pretty important. High psi through those little guns, easy to grenade some debris into the races. Like I said, you're both right, they're both probably good enough for a respectable service life.

That video may be irrelevant to your (very reasonable) argument, but between that guys soothing voice, the catchy little tune, and the incredibly satisfying journey of red grease through the transparent pathways...I am now in the fetal position on the sofa, sucking on my thumb, with a semi

I’m gonna suggest everyone attach a tire pressure gauge to the refrigerant filling valve to check factory pressure.

    Dear OP,

When I greased my transmission, it took like 13 tubes of grease before any of the old stuff came out of the seals. Do you suppose that this is why the transmission shifts funny when I tow my 2 ton boat up big hills?

Odd that the bottle of tears comes stock, but you have to buy an adapter to place it in its proper spot...
