Did You Fail The Mass Inspection? And Why?????

Oh, i forgot how different the 3rd gen intake is from the stock 2nd gen. I have a TRD CAI for my 2nd gen that looks kind of like your 3rd gen.

 

I'm thinking of giving my very little use Borla Cat Back system away for free for a nice condition 2015 DCLB Stock Exhaust. Any takers??????

Not loud at all Rob, just don't feel like dealing with any possibility of issues.

 

I've been running the Borla cat back for years now and even got the tail piece chopped (just after the axle) and no inspector has mentioned it (yet). The trouble I had last year trying to get a sticker was shops turning me away because of my illegal tint which I had to get redone but that was it.

Who knows if they will bitch about my old Borla exhaust when I'm up for a new sticker in March.

 

15 days since I filed the dispute from my inspection. No reply.

 

I'm going to go this weekend and get mine done.

Called the RMV to follow up and ain't anything been done..fortunately the guy pulled up the title and saw it's a 2 seat truck, so he called the dealer and told them to give me the sticker. They were open until 6, I got there at 5:20 and the service guy said he didn't think they could do it. I looked right at him and said "the RMV called you guys today and it should never have failed in the first place, and he was told you would take care of me if I got here by 6 so let's get this over with". Bet your ass I had a sticker quick

 

Anybody have issues with no mud flaps on

glad i found this thread. i will add that it used to be that if you got a rejection sticker, you had a few weeks to take care of it. Now, you are required to leave it at the shop for repairs. You cannot drive a safety rejected vehicle period!The police can impound your vehicle for a safety rejection sticker now!!! This is the biggest issue for me. Luckily, in my area i haven't had a shop really give me an issue yet or have i seen any cops enforce this rule yet.... but, its another tool for them, so watch out!

Thanks for the info. The inspection checklist keeps growing. Probably should swap out my Boslla LED headlights for inspection time too.

 

I'm actually going to go straight there today and see if I can go right in and get it done
