I would not bother. Just make sure they are off when you pull in and they do not come on with the factory lights at all. Then see what they say.

None of them come on with the factory lights, they all have their own switches.

I would leave them, and see what they say when you bring it in. It has passed with them before. It's not a new law, I don't think.

I'll be able to tell you about aftermarket lights in factory locations within a couple days. Got LED fogs on my front bumper.

I'll be interested to hear what you come up with. I'm running HID's in full retrofits and LED fog. All properly aimed. I got my sticker in the last week of September just to buy myself the extra 9 months in case I needed to mod my mods.

My state uses the iPad and every thing you inspect must be photographed which is sent in for final approval.

Most of them are illegal. But if you do everything proper and tires are covered an alignment is good then your okay as long as you have a reconstruction permit that states your truck has been inspected by a recon inspector. But if you go for a safety check every part and tire size needs to match up to you recon paper if not it’s an auto fail

Definitely interested to see where this thread goes.
My inspection isn't due until May so my last one was before all this started and I can see why the state would want to start cracking down on some of these places. My last inspection was just after my lift, bumper, lights and bed rack were put on the truck, I had never even been to this place before and I was in and out in 5 min. They only plugged it in to check if there were codes, he said that the truck looks pretty rugged and I was on my way. Never looked at the frame, brakes, nothing.
I'm a bit nervous to keep modding my truck if it's just going to fail in May
