That's just fucked up.....this state just trying to steal more money out of people.

If they did that to her I can imagine that we'll see a lot less of the old green and white plates

Because with the green plates you didn't have to have one in the front.

12 weeks puts you past the 60 days for free reinspection. That means she will have to pay another $35 when she gets her new plate.

You have nothing to worry about with those mods. Trd exhaust is from the dealer they cant do shit, its also not even close to being too loud. Bumper heights dont matter.

Was just reading through an FAQ on the masstuning Facebook page

Looks like I've got some work to do....

Going to need a new header back exhaust- hopefully the steering box is tight enough - washer fluid?? These cars had a crappy plastic bag stock and they are impossible to find - get the Revere lights wired up - some how fill all the random holes - hopefully my 5 point harness passes as a seat belt

Damn I thought cali was bad... They didn't care about this car - checked the vin and passed it

They failed my co-workers 4runner because the rear plate (red letter) wasn't reflective anymore. They are waiting for a plate now.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
So in the mean time she has to drive around with a failed inspection until the plates come?

technically in mass if you get a red Rejection sticker, it means you failed for safety reasons, and are not supppsed to dive it at all. Black rejection sticker is for emissions and you are allowed to drive for 60 days.

I'll have to look into that.

I had it registered at a classic in CT.

The catch with antique plates is typically you aren't supposed to just drive them when you want, its supposed to be reserved for parades, functions, etc...

In PA they don't even remove the sticker until it passes. So if you fail, you pay the shop for the work (it's $12 where I go) and then get the re-inspection for free but pay $2 for the new sticker.

You have to pay the $35 before they even take your car here. Then they fail it and put a R sticker on it. You don't know you failed until they come out with the car.

This happened to my coworker a few weeks ago he had an older #### LL plate in perfect condition. He had to pay $15 more for another plate. It’s a scheme to get people to be forced to get new plates.

Red sharpie and hairspray should get you to pass and save the wasted $ to the registry for new plate(s).

My wife was forced to forfeit her green plate because she failed to tell me she was getting her car inspected when I could’ve made it look brand new beforehand. They wouldn’t even let her keep her ### LLL combo of the days past in the new style plate. The registry would not issue her new plates until she physically handed them the green one.
