More people ask me to help them move or haul stuff. That never happened when I had a RAV4.

Hmm. The previous owner became one of, if not the, best friends I've ever had.

    So, change for the better.

I had a bitchin 92 pickup with a 3.4 swap, and now I have a bitchin 2019 Off Road. I thought I'd keep em both, but I ended up selling the old one. They both have/had 33's and rock sliders. And you know how my life changed as a result of owning the taco? I went from reading yotatech to tacoma world.

Mine changed in a bad way. I dislike the calibrations for the powertrain and the drivetrain; the dual-cycle engine only makes everything worse. The saving grace is its stupid cheap lease rate.

I went from eating porterhouse steaks 3 days a week to buying lots of parts. Now my chest grows tons of hair and I can barely squeeze into my jeans. I am also not allowed within 3 miles of a convent else nuns flock to me. Food tastes better and the sun is brighter. I don't know what other absurd things I can write on here lol.

In all honesty: my gas bill has gone through the roof, my convenience factor is exponentially higher, and the whole family likes the truck. What more can I say?

I ran into a dude with a Pro VooDoo Blue and he said his wife left him for a dude that drives a first gen Raptor. She said the Pro doesn't have the balls to launch

Haha. Not many, I'd imagine... But not knowing much is a growing theme of this younger generation. I mean, they think that a particular vehicle can "change your life".

My 18 year old daughter has been into vinyl for a long time. She's got a couple of old 45 reducers from my old stash.

Yeah, but it grew 8 inches when you bought it. Losing 2 means you're still ahead.

Yeah, like almost 2 decades ago. I lost my virginity in the back of my 1st gen. I’ve romped damn near every desert that exists on the western side of the United States. But now that all this time has passed, I don’t have the strength to sort out all this poon, so I’m laying low.

I don't know about life changing, but I went to my Tacoma from an Acura TL that I loved. 2 things that I noticed right away moving to the Tacoma:

    1. I enjoy long driving trips more. Probably a combination of a more comfortable cabin, more room, being higher off the road, the adaptive cruise control (which I absolutely love).

    2. I love the fact that if I need to move something big, I just do it. No trying to coordinate how to get it done, delivery, asking a friend or whatever. A few weeks back we bought a new sofa and my wife asked me if I could take the old one to Salvation Army. 10 min later:

My ex would constantly call the car I used to drive a grandpa car. Everywhere we go "who's grandpa is here?" "What a boring car" "I bet it hasn't gone over 45". For years I dealt with it and I'm pretty sure it's the reason we broke up. Afterwards I knew I had to re-establish myself to people as not a grandpa, so I got a Tacoma. It reliably gets the compliments I need to fix my once shattered self-esteem and has the reputation for adventure, so I can now talk about all of the hills I drive over and show pictures of me doing outdoorsy things. It took 4 years, but I have now validated myself as young again and have gone back to listening to youth music since the radio dial is no longer stuck on "only the classics."
