Just sell them locally (or on this site). You’re coming across as a bit of a cry baby.

Makes sense. Why take a chance on selling them for what you paid for them (or maybe even a bit more) when you can loose money returning them. Good call :rofl:

Wow dude, your life must be full of excitement. I just wanted to return the parts, wasn’t planning on making money or had time to wait for a buyer. Already wasted enough time on this... thanks for ur input. GL to you.

My life is very exciting, thank you. Feel free to check my albums page on this site or google my screen name if you want to see pictures and hear tales of a guy and his friends who travel all over the Southwest looking for new places to play in the dirt.

My point was you came across sounding like a Karen who bought something, decided you didn't want it, then cried that not everything works as smoothly as Amazon. GL to you in your future on-line endeavors! :burnrubber:

I work at a parts store. This is common practice. Some people not saying you, a few ruin it for the honest ones. How do They know you didn't install them and mess something up. Once the return is done the return is done. The company can't re sell them. That is the difference between buying online and buying local it's a chance we take. Sorry op this sucks

Hey everyone, seems like its been a while since I've been on this forum.

I am the customer support manager at Shock Surplus and I just got wind of this thread and thought it would be best to reply on here.

My apologies for this. The costs of the returns should have been stated to you a little more clearly, but I did get a chance to look into your email chain and saw that we are going to charge you on just the shipping label.

To add to your point, the unassembled 6112's have a MSRP price of $799 and we do have the assembled price at $820, however, it does cost more than the $20 difference to have these assembled

In addition to repackaging everything, we do inspect and make sure that everything is 100% perfect and that nothing has been tampered with or anything could have been damaged. Assembled struts can be pretty dangerous and we make sure that there is no issues if they can be resold. Its unfortunate how often we get returns back without original packaging, no packaging or used (when return stated they were new)

I do apologize for this. We do have a very small support staff (that we are currently working on growing) and it has been common lately where we are on phones with customers for longer periods of time.

Its unfortunate how often we get returns that are in such bad of shape that we cant even sell them as used
