A few months ago it died and restarted about 5 or 6 times before i could pull off the road on my way to colorado about 7 hours into the trip doing about 75ish. Shut off the truck, popped the hood and checked with no luck on a smoking gun. No other issues during the trip or the 12 hour drive back home.
Tonight it did it over and over for several minutes going about 65ish and then just stopped doing it and drove normal. This time there didnt seem to be any loss of power like before, just dash going nuts and radio rebooting. Pulled into a gas station and shut it off, started back just fine. No check engine or saved DTC Any ideas? I got a video of it, but cant upload it here.

Thanks, going to go over all of that tomorrow, a little corrosion on the battery but nothing I would have considered to be such a dramatic issue the truck would react like that. When it did it on oir trip to colorado, there was a dramatic loss of power each time it would cycle before I could get pulled over.
This time it seemed to be just instruments, lights dimming, radio rebooting, then it just went back to normal.

Yeah start with the easy / cheap stuff. I personally suspect the battery.

I hope its something easy/cheap lol. I just dumped a bunch of money in a winch and bumper set up to install this weekend, so aill be going over all the battery cables/connections.

Is it shutting down all electrical no power? Or is it just dying with everything illuminated yet

I had a jeep Cherokee that did this and it was the cam position sensor. Have you checked for codes?

Yes, no codes, no check engine light. This time there was no loss of power while driving. And before I could get pulled over in a safe place, it just started acting normal. Ran code reader on it as soon as I got home and no saved DTCs.
Started just fine this morning, drove it for about an hour with no issues.
Last time it did this was 3 months ago.

It seems just the electrical is shutting down and rebooting over and over, its a manual truck so I assume thats why it kept the engine running, i drove a mile down the road before I could get pulled over and it just went away and started acting normal.

Have a look at the fuse box connection supply wire bolt it maybe loose. One give away it still runs and the tack is not effected.

Wow, that is some spooky shit right there! Definitely an electronic gremlin causing this, but I wouldn't know quite where to start. I'm leaning towards a loose ground, but again where?
