blue led headlights, 285/75/16 grabber AT2's, custom pedals, custom shifter, flowmaster 40 series muffler, bedlinered fender flares, 2.5" lift kit via shackles and spacers, custom exhaust out the back, chrome exhaust tip, and Herculined bed, Weathertech floormats, Cabelas Trail Gear Camo Seat Covers ... Nice thing was I got the truck for $4000
Eventaully somewhere down the road I want to swap my 01 tacoma 2.7 liter engine to a small diesel engine. I know i'd have to replace the transmission and everything to, and porbably fab my own frame mounts, etc. I just wanna know if this has been done before and how much work it would take to make it work, thanks

You probably want the 1KZ-TE engine (toyota 3.0 4cyl turbo diesel) or the 1KD-FTV, which is the newer version.

Very hard to find here in the states. Quite expensive. Go figure why the rest of the world knows that diesel is the way to go, while the American consumer or car buyer is just too damn clueless.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It has more to do with the Federal Regulations that get pressed harder and harder into the emissions aspects for the manufacturers than consumer desire.

Meh...but if the majority of car buyers want a diesel...it will happen. Capitalism will ensure that.
We are seeing that with the VW cars with TDIs right now, since there's such a long waiting list (or was...I haven't checked in a little while).
