bringing the 4.0L D 4D engines from the toyota HILUX and installing it in the Tacoma's would be nice. I drove those HILUX all over Afganistan from rockcrawling, deep sand, sand storm, river crossing that diesel engine handled it like a pro. and the front and rear leaf springs with all our gear with the 50 Caliber rocking the bed plus 3 240 bravo's mounted in a swing arm in the doors that HILUX handled all the punishments for 9 months and the only maintenance I did was changed the oil in our 5th month there built pretty tough. I think what toyota is going to do in the tundra's is there going to adapt the turbo diesel engines from the Land Cruiser's and put htem in the 2009 tundra's and seqouia's.

^ I say bring the ENTIRE Hilux over here, along with the engine. Then give it the Tacoma's styling (body panels, etc.). Toyota could then call it a Tacoma or Hilux, doesn't matter, I'd buy it.
