Diesel engine sound

    Hello again folks!

    Just wondering if anyone else's 2013 Tacoma sounds like a diesel engine Frim inside the cabin while at idle. Im not sure if it's a problem. The truck runs great. Looking for answers. Thanx

    There's a little valve on the left side of the intake manifold, just below the capped off nipple, it's connected to the intake via a 1/2 outside diameter vac line that terminated just south of the throttle body. That valve tends to tick like a diesel, look up 1gr-fe ticking fix to maybe find a video. But ultimately you just need to pull the M4 bolt (10mm head) place a pice of rubber or foam to insulate the vibration and reinstall the bolt. This cuts down on the rattle significantly.

    Does that area get real hot? Do i need to use rubber or foam that can handle high temps?
