Don't worry. You aren't the only one that just didn't know. I am glad that you asked. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. ;)

    Thanks.
I won't get anywhere fast but I drove an FJ40 for 4 years as a DD and this at least has a 5 speed.

I have been practicing driving slow in the Tacoma (70mph) and I am almost getting runover on the freeways here.

Yeah that is my friend's website. (That is my 60 on there which is now sold)
That particular BJ70 was turboed. Never saw that one .I was looking into buying it at the time but it was a bit pricey.
My friend is giving me a bit of a deal on his and he is willing to share all his diesel knowledge.:D

I hope he has more in a year or two. I am going to start saving. One of those things is my dream vehicle - 4WD, Diesel, small, and simple engine. :)

BJ70s are nice and the 3B engine is bulletproof (to use an over-used term)

I really wanted a BJ60 which is basically the wagon style with the 3B engine but those are REALLY hard to find.

Have you seen the diesel troopy on his site?

I actually drove it (right hand drive and all).
He wants a lot of money though.

Yeah, that's a bit too big for me without a turbo. I was actually more interested in the Prado, but the link is broken...

I drove that one in Moab with him. :)

It is a 5 speed with 33" tires. It drove very nice and had tons of torque.

Problem with those is that they are heavy and with the tires I think he was only getting 18-20 mpg anyway.

Yeah, but that is like a 4wheelin' MACK truck made by Toyota! I still like the BJ70 Turbo-Diesel (even the non-turbo would be okay with me).

That Prado is actually on EBay right now.
The owner is from florida and has it titled there. From my understanding it may be hard to get it titled in CA but Texas may be easier.
