When all else fails... so maybe never... I have used mine many times with my '01 and '05 Tacoma for climbing steep, rocky grades, slowly in L4... But, now I have a 2010 with TRAC and A-TRAC... Maybe never 'need' the locker again? But, still good to have it!

Ok well I just found a e locker rear end for $600 but will the gearing be the same as the front. And I'm wondering if I could hook that e locker up to a toggle switch in the cab.
