Purchased a 2.25" strut extension. My truck had the "crawl feature". On readylifts site it says do not install diff drop of your truck has the crawl feature and only 1" of rake. My truck has exactly 1" of rake. Other websites like pro comp don't say anything about not installing the diff drop.

I've been doing some research because I am looking to install a 1" spacer (2" lift) that is supposed to arrive today. From what I could gather there's no need for the diff drop unless you actually feel some kind of vibration. make sure you measure the before and after height so you can make a better assessment of whether or not you need the drop kit. It also seems like it fairly easy to install the drop kit so lift the truck, run it for a bit and then decide if you actually need it or not. that's what I'm doing.
I also have CRAWL on mine

You won't get much love here for those. Especially not a 2.25" one! Yikes!!!

I know those aren't great but not as bad as coil spacers... and I wouldn't do more than a 1" spacer anyway

Does not plan to off road at all? I've had 3 Tacomas. In my honest opinion the spacers were 10x better than the 5100s. The Billys made the ride 100x stiffer. Bud I "off roaded" plenty with the spacer lifts and never had an issue. Did I go rock crawling and have my suspensions maxed out constantly? No but every trail, every mud hole, every hill in my area I took my truck.
