What numbers would be considered acceptable? I don't see it posted. Perhaps i'm missing something though.

Dont drop the diff, i had so many issues with my first gen with the drop in. Removed it was fine. Rear prop shaft sheered at highway speeds twice, removed the drop and got a used shaft no more problems.

didn't read through the full thread but i can confirm that the ECGS Bushing eliminates any and all noise and/or vibrations you may have when installing a lift! Super (BRO)stoked with my lift kit and the fact that there aren't any take aways from it just makes me love the truck even more

Could someone please explain to me why you shouldn't drop the front diff? I was planning on getting the fox kit from Bilstien lifts because it came with a diff drop and rear axle shim. I liked that all pro's kit came with leaf packs instead of a all's, so if I shouldn't drop diff and shim rear axle I would like to know.

I have a front diff drop and no ecgs bushings. No vibes no noise, can't even tell the truck is lifted (except for the larger tires). 13k miles on the lift so far. If I start having problems then I will look at putting in the ecgs bushings, but no reason to do it now.

This job does not take a specialist. Any mechanic that can replace a CV axle can replace the bearing with the bushing...which basically leaves us with almost ANY certified and trained mechanic.....

It's a 2 hour job max for a guy with the knowledge and tools (basically any certified mechanic).

Print out the instructions from ECGS. Bring the removal tool, a new seal, and the bushing. Show the mechanic what you want to do with these parts and instructions IN YOUR HAND...do not call and try to explain it to them over the phone. With this approach (bringing parts and paper in-person) they will likely be MUCH more receptive to listening and helping you. These guys get a ton of morons calling them each and every day trying to self diagnose and describe problems. Just from that alone, they get desensitized to the bullshit.

I'm getting close to my 15k mile service. Will ask the service rep then if they have any knowledge of the ecgs bushing fix. The dealership has been pretty straight up with me so far and has fixed a few issues that could have been my fault with no questions asked.

I called in for a quote just for shits and giggles. Hell at $575 there better be a lap dance from a big booty stripper chick involved.

Yeah I know it doesn't take much, I've done CV axle seals a few times at work. Even 2 hours would be really dragging ass, BSing with the shop guys. I'm not sure where 4WP pulls 5 hours from. Maybe dropping the entire front diff and doing it a bench?

Are the bushings for 4x4 only @smitty99 or are they universal?

If I go from my stock Sr5 to an OR suspension do I need to change to an ECGS?

There is no guarantee, when you need to go to the bushing. The design is not great even with factory suspension, when you left the truck in exaggerates the problem and some people experience trouble. There are guys that left their truck and have no troubles or bad experiences, some people left their truck and immediately have a problem on their first drive out of the shop.
