Hopefully this Friday I'll get to the bottom of my post lift vibrations. I'll be going into to my local 4x4 shop to play around with shims and CB drops.

My lift is the Eibach/5100 @.85 with 1/4 spacer on DS/2" AAL combo giving me a total of about 2.7" or so. Ever since the install I've got some serious take off shudder that goes to 10mph and again a shudder that goes from 25 to 35mph. I've since added the diff drop that actually has created more of a vibe that pulsates intermittingly. I have a few washers for the CB drop, but will be doing more of them on Friday.

What I want to know from everyone is your experience with Diff drops. Are they needed for lifts below 3"? Did they create any additonal issues for you as they did for me? Lets here it!

OZ-T - Thank you very much...I guess I need to start using the search function within TW instead of Google. Much appreciated

Seems to be a good debate on whether the slight change in CV symmetry is worth the decreased ground clearance and in some cases increased vibrations.

Here's a picture I took pre dif drop; you can see that a fin is touching another, but overall, they don't seem to bad...?

I also thought that the .85 setting was the highest you should go with that billy / eibach combo .

OP , maybe you would be farther ahead to drop the billies to .85 and see if your vibe issue is solved before adding any more components to the mix .

The shop who installed the lift & DD thereafter said the same thing. Last week I put new wheels & tires on and the vibes persist. I believe unbalanced wheels would be felt in the steering wheel if I'm not mistaken?

Currently I have a few washers providing some CB drop, but I think I need to add more to see if I can reduce some of the problem.

^that guy could have done things different with his skid plate, and not had any issues. Put spacers on the front bolts. Not make is mod so blocky, where everything would catch on it, etc and so on.

I just got my OME kit in and it comes with the front. diff drop? When it gives you the option on toytec, you can choose not to get it, but says thats for 2WD. Should i just skip installing the drop? Or is the toytec OME kit different, and actually requires the use of it?

Leave it off. There's nothing unique about the OME setup compared to other non-drop-bracket lifts in terms of CV angles.
