I been running a 2” front leveling kit for a couple weeks and would like to know if I need a front diff drop to compensate for the cv shaft angles . I do see a slight difference in the cv axle angles but not sure if it’s ok to run like that or not . Have heard of vibration problems down the road and needle bearing failures.

I do have one. Some are against them. I’m on a 2” Bilstein lift. My angles are fine no vibes. Been on lift for a while. I do have Ecg Bushing on hand if and when it happens.

    Good Luck OP

What diff drop kit are you running. I think I will go ahead and put one on just to be on the safe side . Totter sells a 1” diff drop and have seen others but don’t specify the amount of drop. Unsure if 1” drop will be ok .

I’ve done two different drops on lifted vehicles and noticed more vibration and rhythmic noise with them than I have without.

I’ve run two lifted 4Runners, a Tacoma and a FJ and did the diff drop on one 4Runner and the Tacoma and not the others, ended up removing it on them and ran a 3” lift (OME) and haven’t seen a CV failure or boot failure yet.
