Diff drops

This is my first post. I love this place!
So here's my simple question.... Pretty sure I need to install a diff drop kit. I read somewhere that they are for 4x's. I have a 4x2. Is this still an option for me?

 

No you don't have front CV's no need for front differential drop.

 

With the lift I have a problem with speed bumps. How do I fix that?

 

What year? What lift? What's the problem?

 

2014. I did a spacer in the front. When I go over a speed bump it seems like the suspension is already stretched out so when drops.....it doesn't have anywhere to go. My mechanic says its normal and won't hurt anything...

 

Spacer on top or sammich between? I think your stock shocks are being pushed to the limit in travel. I don't understand why people spend 25-30k on a new truck and spend $300 on a spacer lift kit on their new truck. That shit cause premature wear on the suspension in return causing you to spend more money on replacement parts and or upgrade to new suspension when you could have done it right the first time and have a solid truck. SMH.

 

What is the right way?

 

New coils and shocks.

New shocks, coil springs, and a AAL or new leaf pack

 

I didn't want to replace brand new parts. Already has TRD of road package.

 

Then remove the spacer. That's what's causing the symptoms you're talking about.

Only way to achieve lift and get rid of what your issue is, is to buy aftermarket coils and shocks to achieve lift.

You don't have to replace the upper control arms depending on the amount of lift you get. I'd say anything under 2.5"-2.75" of lift and stock upper control arms will do fine.

 

4x2 has many options most popular is spindles to OME to Eibach w/ Bilsteins to Bilsteins at 2.5" with AAL.
