When changing diff fluid do.you use the fill it till it reaches the fill hole or the measure out the exact recommend amount.

Reason I ask is my last truck used the fill to the fill hole method.

I have everything needed for the change just wanted to verify proper fill level.

    Thanks.

Here's a shameless plug for my procedure on diff fluid changes: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-manual-transmission-6mt-fluid-change.481719/

Now that's out of the way... you should just go by the fill hole method if you can be absolutely sure you're parked level. Toyota's spec is within 0 to 5mm of the fill hole. So the easiest way to do this is to fill until it trickles out.

I'll also suggest topping it off the following day. When you fill it you think it's full but there are air pockets in there that get purged after you drive it.

^^^^Yeah it is best to do it and let it sit overnight and give it time to run into the axle tubes. Forgot I did that.

I used the fill hole method. Stopped filling when it drips out the full hole. Just make sure you are level. I am going to top it off tomorrow after driving. Was busy today so I could not do it, but like the other guys said, too it off later or the next day to make sure the level is correct
