DIFF LOCK or OR pkg on 4x4 2X-CAB LWB?

why is there no option for the locking rear diff on a 2012 4x4 4 door long bed? It comes with the Off Rd package but that package is not offered on 2012 LWB 4x4's...I heard there was a wire I could modify on the rear axle to simulate it.

 

There's never been an OR package offered on the DCLB trucks. If you want a locked you're going to have to go aftermarket.

 

Dude, we're an online forum, we didn't design the truck. You're asking the wrong people.

If you're looking at newer Tacomas, they have Auto LSD which uses the brakes to simulate limited slip. There is no wiring trick or mod to make an open differential act like a locked differential. There's simply no substitution for a locker.
