    Heyy all,

*Newb alert. I Have 1K miles on my '14 DC Off-Road 6-speed MT. I'll be going Amsoil all around in the next few weeks. Given this is my very first truck (I've only ever owned 4-cyl 5-spd FWD cars), I know very little about a 4WD drivetrain. I assume that the gears in the ALL cases rotate while driving, regardless of 2WD or 4WD selection, correct? Or do I have to engage the 4WD to get the front-end case gears turning? I'm asking because I would like the cases to be broken in with the factory fluids before I use synthetic. Thanks!

The front only turns when engaged. You can rotate the front shaft by hand. Useful when greasing the ol' girl up.
