    I mistakenly used K16 R-U plugs (@ .031 gap ) instead of K16 R-U11 ( @ .043 gap) for the last 30,000 miles. The engine ran great.

Just wondering what’s the difference besides the gap setting ?

( I didn’t realize my 2000 east coast sold Tacoma was a LEV California model )

Different heat range would be my guess Compare the threaded sections I venture one is longer then the other.

Last number is just what the plug comes pre-gapped at. 11 is 1.1mm or 0.044", here is a chart that shows what the part numbers mean.

    Same plugs, different gaps.
