For context, I would like a grille with silver TOYOTA lettering. I don't have a front camera so I can live with/without the camera mount, but if the "better" grille has the camera mount, then it is what it is. Also, I will be mounting raptor lights on the grille.

I saw that there were two choices for OEM grilles I had. I could either get PT228-35180, which, from what I understand, is an older model that doesn't have a camera mount, or I could get PT228-35200-AA, which is the newer model with a camera mount. Is there a difference in the build quality between the 2? Like is the finish on them noticeably different, or are they exactly the same in terms of look(minus camera mount), finish and build quality?

    PT228-35180 : https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~trd-pro-grill-tacoma~pt228-35180.html

    PT228-35200-AA : https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~taco-pro-trd-grille~pt228-35200-aa.html

    Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pictures on the website, but PT228-35180 does not seem to have room for the TSS radar sensor.

So in re-reading your original statement (got wrapped up in the part numbers); are you wanting a new grill just for the lettering? If you have that grill you sent just installed, then you can just get lettering ordered from a vendor in a desired color like below.

Here's mine installed from about a year ago. White truck so it matches my paint. Looks good IMO.

I bought a cheap Chicom built aftermarket Pro style grill that came with both white letters and a radar garnish plate almost 4 years ago. I think I paid around $125 for the whole kit. I've never had a single issue with it. But as usual, YMMV!

How close are the Chicom letters to factory? I'd like to change the color but not sure if it would work.
