Looking to get a trd sport longbed. Looking at years 2013-2015. What are the differencesame between the years? Any opinions on which years are better would be great.
    Thanks
    Matt

2013 still has an active outside thermometer.

Aside from that, I think the differences are a wash.

Almost. If I'm not mistaken, the 2013 has the backup cam in the rearview mirror and a proper physical outside thermometer. It's regarded by most 2ND gen owners as "the best year" for tacos.

My lack of oem thermometer in my 14 is my BIGGEST quelm with the truck. A very ignorant oversight when BASE model economy cars (under $10k) all come with them these days.

I have a base model 4x4. I don't know what all the fancy extras are - I just know that they're the same truck as the 2005 with a few cosmetic changes and a gadget that replaces the (much better) true limited slip differential. This is the first vehicle I've owned with power windows, so...

So the 2014 and 2015 don't have outside temp gauge?

In short, no. The trd and limited models feature a "weather app" that gets you a rough temperature for your approximate area, but it's not a true thermometer. It's BS. Base and sr5 models up to 2013 that HAD a thermometer didn't for 2014 and 2015.

Yeah, the weather app is USELESS for the high mountain roads that I frequent. When funds are no longer tight, I'll replace my rearview mirror with one that has a temp gauge, but because I'm hooked on homelink, the mirror I want will be quite pricey.

I think after '13 they stopped putting the open cubbyhole boxes over wheel wells in the bed.

14 has the double joint rear view mirror, still has the clock under the radio, and has a DRL position on the headlight switch. Whatever that's worth.
