I assume you are being serious...but I can't imagine how anyone can think ACC is anything but crap. Perpetually downshifting to raise the RPMs by 3000, everytime the truck needs to "catch up to the cruise speed"...no thank you!

Do yourself a favor and make a simple spreadsheet listing pro's vs. con's and decide which one is in your best interest.
Take advantage of having the forum to find user info good and bad to help compose your list. Valuable information like financing and insurance info given above call you insurance and get quoted the difference on model year and options. Bank for APR's

    New vs Used
    Cost $
    Financing APR & Term
    Insurance
    Mileage
    Warranty
    Needs
    Wants

Take your time and you will be a lot happier than just a quick gotta have it purchase that can be followed with remorse.
Also it allows you time to find what you really want.

It is great... it does do that and it's annoying as fuck but at the end of the day I still like it. I've found not having ETC on and setting the range to the middle setting mitigates it some. And if you look over my posts you'll see I'm pretty admit that Toyota fucked up the gearing and trans tuning. But not enough that I won't use or enjoy the ACC.

I buy new, I know it’s never been a flood car, Mobile meth lab, driven by someone who floors it to slide around every corner, getting airborne across ditches, or someone that doesn’t understands what regular service is ect

Well I don't have that big of an issue with it and every cruise control i've used races to get back up to speed and is rough, yet again I don't use it in heavy traffic because its a truck and not a tesla that can drive itself....

I would never go back to regular cruise control after having adaptive cruise.

Adaptive cruise + AT = super comfortable road trips

Agreed on the ACC + AT. I also really like carplay in the 20.

I moved up from a 2nd gen partly because of the addition of TSS. I try not to ever get distracted while driving, but I like knowing that if there's ever an instance where I don't see someone, there's a good chance it saves me.

I heard the 2017 model is the best because they don’t ever have any problems, or recalls, and their value actually increases every year. You might as well buy new though. The 2017 models are prob worth about $65,000 by now

I can vouch for the collision avoidance system. Car changed lanes short and immediately hit brakes to turn into a store, the instant I saw brake lights I went for brake, truck applied brakes before I could.

I like my auto high beams sometimes, if the road has a fair amount of white reflective signs along the sides, the car sees those as on coming cars and shuts off the lights.

All the updates ? Clue me in.
There is only a TSB for the tranny that I know of that is done in 5 minutes. Can't count the lca plugs really.
Missing zerks and missing rear cubby come to mind on the 17 +.
Other than that same exact truck.

Exactly why I finally pulled the trigger on a Taco in 2017... Saw 18+ trucks were going to start adding the safety stuff, aka things to break 10 years down the road. My wife's Nissan had blind spot monitoring that would go off all the time if the car was dirty/in a heavy rain. Never again..
