I don't understand why people complain about ACC? You can turn it off and run regular cruise. On long highway road trips I love the ACC. I don't have to brake or turn cruise off/on/resume...I think it's great. When I drive the wife's suv and I'm always looking to turn ACC on which it doesn't have.

Only thing I don't like about ACC is I wish I could preset the distance to the 2nd block. Hate having to change it every time then you need to hit back to clear the stupid little picture that shows up.

The clear winner for 19's is the SR with the updated dash display and potential to add other elements that were pre wired to begin with im happy with my decision.

The auto hi beams are a great way for the truck to blind people, honestly they aren’t great and pop on a lot and blind people when they should be off.

TSS has a recap over freaking out for no reason and in az on a bright day if you go under a pass it thinks you are going to hit a car and goes nuts. The auto hi beams on windy roads just goes nuts and blinds people when you are following them, the rest is good though, I really like when I reverse and it lets me know some cross traffic is coming I can’t see yet

agreed its a terrible feature. The button would be better used for something else.

I went 2020 because of CarPlay, buttons are back in console, adjustable seat, and LEDs up front.

Just the sensor alone is $600... The less electronics I can have in a vehicle the better, its why I like owning older cars lol. It is all personal preference though. If you like those systems there is nothing wrong with that. I just would rather not rely on my vehicle to turn on my brights and speed up or slow down.

2018 is a sweet year. As far as TSS, haters are gonna hate and lovers are gonna love.

I love it. Driving down a single lane highway is an absolute dream with Adaptive Cruise. Used to pull my hair out when traffic speeds fluctuated, and I had to maintain a distance constantly. Now I just sit back, relax, and let the truck do it for me.

Works great when I use it. Sometimes when i'm on hilly roads it waits a little longer to turn them off than I would normally wait, but I figure on hilly roads, the bright light isn't directly aimed at the other driver's eyes, so it doesn't matter too much. I find it works flawlessly the vast majority of the time though.

Here, most people log a lot of miles. It’s hard to find a used truck with less then 40-60k miles. Then add on top that the resale value of a Tacoma. Doesn’t make sense to pay $5k less for a truck with that many miles.

When I bought my 18’ Sport, Msrp was $40,500 Cad. You get taxes on top of that 15%, and then PDI/Freight around $1800. I looked at a few used 2017’s before, right off one 17’ had 87,000kms and was listed at $39,500 and the other 120,000km at $37,900.

I would have saved probably $3-5000 going used but I also only put on about 15-20,000km a year so both those trucks already have 5-7 years worth of driving on them for myself.

I spent a little more but I tend to stay in rigs for a long time so I feel like the extra expense is easily justified for my own circumstances. Weight your options and choose accordingly.

I should add, I came from a 2007 2nd Tacoma that I had been driving since 2007. (Totalled) So I was only looking to get into a 3rd Gen.

This. I have a 2017, and if it was totaled, I'd buy the same year again, I would just make a better choice of trim/features. &*^%&% JBL and sunroof are crap, but the ability to not have the same HVAC setting as the co-pilot is nice. I'd gladly sacrifice that for the headroom, then buy aftermarket seat heaters.
