I just bought a new 2016 Tacoma Limited. I realize the TRD Off Road has the bilsteins, rear locker and crawl control. But what is the difference with the Limited suspension vs the TRD Sport? Is there any??? DSCN1603.jpg

The limited has the sr5 suspension. The sport has the Hitachi blue shocks, which are "sport tuned"

I haven't even looked at the shocks really to see what they are. Thanks for the info! Question... Will my ride improve much if I change out to the Bilsteins that are on the OffRoad? Or maybe the 5100s that you can get aftermarket? They sound like a popular choice. I appreciate all the info...

I would not bother changing to the billsteins that came with the OR. I'd go 5100s if I were to go aftermarket. Bonus is that the front shocks allow height adjustment, so you can "level out" your truck.

I've heard people refer to the aftermarket Bilsteins as .85s or 1.75s. Is this actually the same shock and you simply adjust the amount of lift before you install them? Or ???

Correct, the .85 and 1.75 are the settings on the shock. (ride height)

I swapped the Trd off-road shocks as thought they were descent, but too stiff. Went for '15's Trd Pro suspension with red coils: 2.5" front, 2" rear with reservoir. Imo, ride's like a magic carpet and clearance is perfect for my needs. If you don't like rear lower desert stance: either add u-bolt block 1"-2"depending on how much weight's going to be carried or leafs. Btw would have preferred Leaf(s), but voids toyota warrenty-lame.
Trd4u of Dallas $1599 plus $350 installed. 2" Rear blocks were around $120, level's out perfect with shell.
