Differences in '12+ grill? Can't get it out

I searched and searched. I pulled the screws and the tabs. All the threads I could find say pull straight up.

On mine there is definitely a large 1" wide tab that is somehow connected to the bumper at the bottom of the grill and I can't get it out for the life of me...

What's the trick?

Nevermind. Just got it.

You have to pull these years straight out, pull on the very ends of the painted portion of the grill by the inside of the headlights and the tabs slip out.

There's a few all along the bottom.

Surprised I couldn't find a single thread where someone else ran into this. Hopefully someone else finds it useful

 

Took a few for me to figure it out the first time.

Okay I'm not realizing I need to cut the black plastic apart to install this. Should have been obvious before since all the mounting points to the truck are attached to this.

Anybody know where some instructions are for the homertaco grill? I can't find any. Dont' really want to mess up. Can't find any in search
