    Valuable info all the way around is that you can mess shocks up short or long by not limiting suspension travel either in droop or compression and using the shocks as the limiting factor.

    If you read my original post it is all about the amount you are going to lift the truck if you go to high a lift on the standard 5100s then you use them as you limit factor in droop. I am at roughly 3.5" or so lift in the rear so I would be at almost the max extension of the 5100s. I was informing the OP that there are different 5100s out there and essentially to get the correct ones for his amount of lift and application or he would end up with what you said bottoming out without much up travel. Just for reference a shock/suspension set up should have about 1/4-1/3 of the shocks tavel in up and 2/3-3/4 in droop, this isn't a hard and fast rule but just a good starting place. I wasn't telling the OP to use them my first sentence explains that.

    5100's on the front using 3rd ring setting will raise nearly 2"

    purfect set up on my '14.......Amazon is not the best pricing
