I'm OK with some color combo's. White and black usually look good on most anything. I think white on gray would be fine.

Do you use anything to keep that snow out of the bed, dust or dirt with that extra length? Ever get water in? Hard to keep secure? Most of us could use some extra length, but...

Is just get whatever color you get a good deal on and then plastidip it. Let it have an industrial/rugged/used look. Put stickers on the glass. And then if down the road you ever got the funds to desire to really get it painted right just peel all that stuff off and get it done.

Black topper goes pretty nicely with most colored trucks. Any other color choice, well looks off. White topper grey truck.. nah. When I see different color toppers, it pretty much tells me the other guy bought it used and doesnt care that it looks off.

I had a really hard time finding a used topper of any kind for my truck, so when I finally got the chance to buy one, I didn't even consider the Colour. I may paint it myself eventually, but the functionality out weighed the looks for me. 20190707_190517.jpg

I’ve seen some I thought looked better with non matching colors, others look not so good. Anything with a black topper looks nice to me.

Non color matched canopy is nice because it allows the shape of the pickup to still pop instead of melding into the long suv shape that is the truck with a color matched top.

I found a white Leer topper for my 2015 Blue Ribbon Metallic truck. It looked like an adidas sneaker but in a good way. I found a shop to color match it when they had a lull in business, did the prep (removed racks, hardware, rear window) myself. $250 including paint. Oh, and a dozen cider doughnuts. I’ve been happy with it.

In my opinion it looks like shit. Unfinished like you’re waiting to afford the paint cost.

Might not just look like a person is waiting to afford paint, in a lot of cases, it might be the case that a person can't afford to have it painted at the moment. There's no shame in that, and no need to make a person feel like shit because of it either.

On that note, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

You’ll be happy it’s white if you camp inside it in the summer.

    Stock for now.. maybe
Sometimes, especially on an older truck, color doesn't matter. As long as it does its job who cares, not your truck. Also a new paint job on topper with a 25 year old truck might look like a semi polished turd anyways.

In my opinion your opinion sucks
    Happy holidays

Edit.. I mismatched mine on purpose, purchased new
    MGM truck. Midnight black shell

Exactly why I haven't painted mine yet. I bought it so I could throw the dogs back there in an emergency. White stays much cooler during the summer months by comparison to the paint on the truck. I guess if i worried or gave a shit about what other people though I may paint it. However, I don't

Not really. I took it on a long trip and tried to cover the whole underhang with tape and plastic, but it didn't last long. Ended up driving about 300 miles in a snowstorm, then nearly 1000 miles the other way over dusty dirt roads with little ingress. I think what saves me is that the bumper extends past the door, so it's shielding most of the mess from getting in.

Really don’t think you’ll regret saving the money. New ones are expensive, don’t throw money unnecessarily at your depreciating truck. I could have bought an $800 Mgm cap but decided I wanted color matched. I should have just saved the money. MGM would have looked sweet on my truck anyways in retrospect.
